Avionics & Instruments

Aircraft avionics and electronics are the electronic systems and instruments used in aircraft for navigation, communication, surveillance, monitoring, and control, some examples are.

  • Primary Flight Displays, such as attitude, airspeed, altitude, and heading.
  • Navigation Display such as navigation information, including waypoints, routes, and airspaces.
  • Electronic Flight Instrument System, that Integrates various flight instruments into electronic displays.
  • Communication Radios, for communication with air traffic control and other aircraft

Aircraft instruments are components that provide pilots with essential information about the aircraft’s performance, position, and systems. These instruments are divided into three main categories: flight instruments, engine instruments, and navigation instruments.

Modern Helicopters often use electronic displays and multifunctional displays (MFDs) that integrate multiple instrument readings into a centralized screen for enhanced situational awareness.
